Meet Policies
- The deadline to declare for a swim meet is 10 AM on the Saturday before the meet.
- Pool rules require that children younger than 13 years old are accompanied by an adult, not including the coaches. Do not drop your swimmers off or allow them to come to meets alone unless they are 13 or older.
- No alcohol. You will be asked to leave for the first offense. You will be asked to not attend meets for the second offense. Should the opponent file a complaint to TSA regarding alcohol then it may result in our forfeit and possible suspension or expulsion from the league. Too many kids enjoy participating on the swim team with their friends. Please don’t let this happen.
- No one is allowed in the pool before or during the meet. Swimmers are only allowed in the water during instructed warmup and racing.
- Only Kid Pushers, Clerk of Course, and Timers should be behind the yellow ropes on the pool deck. Anyone else will be escorted from the area by one of the Kid Pushers.
- Please do not stand in front of the Starter/Timer station, Stroke & Turn Judges, or Order of Finish Judges. The volunteers need to be able to clearly see the pool, Clerk of Course, Timers, and swimmers.
- Meets will be held in light rain. Storms have been known to arrive and pass quickly. Once the TSA Representatives decide the rain is too heavy, the meet will be postponed. Please do not leave unless an announcement has been made.
- Meets will resume once 30 minutes have passed without thunder or lightning and the lifeguards have cleared the meet to begin again. A meet will be postponed once the TSA Representatives decide that it cannot continue.
- The TSA Representatives may postpone or cancel a meet at any time for any reason. The meet is considered final if all breaststroke events have been completed. Otherwise, the meet will resume the following night. Although it is rare, a meet that cannot be resumed on the following night will be canceled.
- For any reason that the TSA Representatives need the pace to pick up, all remaining exhibition heats may be skipped in order to ensure that the meet can be completed.
